Probably imx changed their certificate and you are using an old JRE that does not contain the new certificate, hence the error "unable to find valid certification path to requested target".
Try updating your Java, you can find the link to Oracle site in the first post.
Use latest java 8 or java 11

Seems to be working well except for the "Force Image Ordering" option. Instead of prepending incremental numbers it is prepending every file with the total image number.
Example for a gallery on Imagebam: all images are named like 096_i1315790117.jpg, 096_i1315790123.jpg, etc. This means the random naming scheme of Imagebam results in the jumbled gallery the option should prevent.
For another host it may be 120_001.jpg, 120_002.jpg where the prepending is harmless but not useful.
This makes the option quite useless at the moment.

Anything else on the log file ? vripper.log ?
I think vipergirls changed the certificate recently. Make sure you are using a recent version of java.

Funny thing happening to me. If I copy the link and paste in the program, a lot of times nothing happens, the link isn't scaned and added to the list.
But when I use clippboard monitoring everything works flawless.
Any tips?


Also I'd like to make a suggestion. It would be too much trouble to implement the old folder scheme of VRipper?
In the old days the program would automatically create the sub-folders and then download the albums to it.

So you have the pics from the softcore section being added to a "Softcore Photo Sets" folder, the softcore archives section being added to a "Softcore Photo Sets (Archives)" folder and so on.
This helps a lot with the organization of the photos.

Is it too much trouble to add it back?

If you can, try reproducing the issue (post not being scanned) and monitor if any logs are being generated in the vripper.log file. If you notice an exception or a stackstrace added to the log file. you can send it to me so i can guess what went wrong.

Well, it seems the program was updated from yesterday, I downloaded version 1.5.2 and now it's 1.6.4.

I just downloaded the .jar file cos i am a lot more comfortable with them... but when i run the jar file it gets stuck in terminal showing Authentication Option is disabled.

The app started correctly. The message you got is simply an info telling you that the app will not authenticate against vipergirls because that option is diabled which is expected if you start the app for the first time on your computer. Maybe you are expecting to see a user interface to popup ? It will not. The jar is a headless ripper (intended to work on a headless server) you need a web browser to access the ui. So head to https://localhost:8080 and the ui will load. From there you can open the setting top right button. And change settings as you wish.
If you instead want a desktop app. Use the windows or linux binaries but they dont come as a simple jar file to run unfortunatly.

For some reason the binary cannot run with double click for some linux distributions, it's annoying but i don't know why yet, what you can do is run it from a Terminal, Here is a command you can use:
cd /path/to/the/ripper/folder wherever you extracted it.

./vripper-electron &>/dev/null &

You can put that command in a .sh executable script so you can double click it to run
